GENERAL DISPOSITION: When people first see or meet Mary-Kate, they generally see, obviously, a well collected young woman. She seems calm and cool and quite reserved. She has that sort of walking predator persona, along with a mysterious aura. She obviously seems more like a listener than a talker-and that is exactly what she is.

If someone tries to control her, she will fight back, simply for the sake of fighting back. She feels as if she has to be strong and tough or else people will easily push her around and use her as their pawn. Though her professions might seem to contradict her personality, her profession has nothing to do with who she really is. She wears a mask where she is so tranquil and gives this aura that she is such a strong and independent individual but really, she is quite vulnerable deep down. Because she does not want to seem vulnerable, she seems a bit cold and emotionless. Since noone has really bothered to get to know her, not many know that she is actually quiet warm and sweet and considerate of others. She comes off as the bitch at first, but look a little deeper and you'll find a very down to earth girl who is dying to come out.
When she is angry, though, people know to stay away. She is a very patient person, but push the wrong buttons and she will get back at you far worse than you could ever imagine. She does not strike quickly-oh no-Mary-Kate tends to make things slow and painful, just because she knows what it feels like to go through such torture-and knows it will hurt the person worse if you hurt their loved ones instead of them personally. Thankfully, though, she has never had to do such horrid things. She knows how to fight and defend herself, so generally people simply stay away from her. When she is upset, she generally doesn't show it-just seems emotionless. The most emotion people will get out of her is when she is working, and that is usually when her "inner seductress" comes out. BRIEF HISTORY:
Angelica Barros gave birth to a lovely baby girl on December 1st in Newark University Hospital in New Jersey. The father of the Brazilian baby was back in Brazil. Not wanting to have her daughter grow up without a father, she had married a man named Jaquez Lovettes, a French man who was the ceo of a large company in New York City.
So growing up was practically a fairytale. Mary-Kate Lovettes was given everything she ever asked for, though she never really asked for much anyhow. The problem was that Jaquez was not fit to be a father. He would constantly abuse Mary-Kate behind Angelica's back and by the time she reached those tender teenage years and proved to be growing into becoming a lovely young woman, he began abusing her sexually. Because her mother seemed so happy with the man, she never told her mother, who simply smiled and seemed so proud of her honor-roll, dance team-captain daughter.
By the time Mk reached sixteen, Jaquez had divorced Angelica and the two girls barely got any money out of the divorce. He never told Angelica why he was divorcing-simply that he was. And while Angelica fell into depression, Mk got a side job as a waitress to help her mother along with paying the bills since they had to move out from their large penthouse to a tiny one bedroom apartment.
Then, when Mk turned seventeen and had just graduated from highschool, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mk's suddenly somewhat peaceful world seemed to spin out of control. Being they had no money for college, even though she had actually gotten a full scholarship to Yale, Princeton, and Juliard, she could not leave her mother to suffer-since ow her mother couldn't work.
There weren't many job offers for seventeen year olds. One man, though, offered her a job that paid just enough to keep a roof over her's and her mother's heads. He owned a club in the city and he had seen her dance at the football game's half time shows and occassionally in some clubs-so he wanted her to dance in his club. She accepted-knowing the money might be able to help with her mother's medical bills as well, but when money wasn't enough, she would occassionally turn to the same man that offered her the clubbing job and sleep with him. He would pay her a lot extra, and in turn, it became another side job for her. She let go of a lot of people in her life and concentrated on help her mother, who was so sick she was practically bed-ridden.
