" If our love was a story book, we would meet on the very first page. The last chapter would be about how I'm thankful for the life we've made. " Careless hums came from the brunette in the back row of Barnes & Nobles. Rhy casually walked throughout the row, picking up books here and there but nothing really caught her interest. Nothing really did, not lately. She felt as if she was in a coma, a coma that allowed her to walk around and socialize but not really feel anything. She should have been energized, full of life, and even a bit paranoid at the fact of a chunk of her past randomly showing up in her life once again. But, it seems, that burst of excitment showed her how boring her life truly was, and how exciting it was when Ty was in it. While she calmed him, brought out the best in him, he brought out the fun side. The exciting side. She spent her days hiding under a car hood, and if in a social area, under a hoodie as she was now. Her Green American Eagle sweatshirt bundled up around her. But, when he was around she felt totally comfortable and even opened up to people that weren't him. He truly did bring out the best in her and she yearned for the excitment, to actually not be afraid. Until then, she walked around in the coma, simply flipping through the pages, but never truly reading the fine print.[/color] Saturday, nightfall, Build-A-Bear workshop
Sighing lightly, Rhy flipped open her sidekick to find zero new anythings. Placing it back into her sweatshirt pocket, she picked up the small bag from Best Buy and continued through the rows. Lingering on the 'Romance' aisle, she decided against it. Not exactly what she needed at this point. Rhy didn't really have a plan for the mall, simply wandering about seeing as she had nothing to do and it was a Saturday night. She had found nothing she really wanted in any of the stores, except for Best Buy, buying some new video games in which she was determined to beat the snot out of a certain best guy friend later on. Chuckling to herself at the thought, she left the book store without a purchase and continued on throughout the mall. It always amazed her, how so many people could gather in one place at one time. Scared the crap out of her, too. She hated social situations, hated people staring. Rhy gripped her hood and pulled it down tighter. She had always hated people staring at her, one of the major reasons she had never joined theater in her schooling years, even if she always yearned for the spotlight, for the attention. It was one of her guilty pleasures; attention. Anybody couldn't deny, it feels good at some point. While she hated the staring, Rhy secretly liked when people talked good about her. Of course, just not to here. Just a bit messed up, don't you think?
That's when Rhy stopped, staring at the big sign in front of the store. It read 'Build-A-Bear Workshop'. The young woman let out a momentary squeel and proceeded into the store, ignoring the lingering stares of other people who had witnessed. The place was crawling with kids, which Rhy loved, and smiled brightly at each and every one. Something about kids made her heart melt in her chest, warmed her up for whatever reason. She glanced about the 'workshop' as kids picked their animals, stuffed them, 'cleaned' them, and picked out clothes only to go to a computer and name their new bundles of joy. Rhy secretly wished this had been around when she was younger, knowing her love of stuffed animals was even bigger back then than it was now, which was saying quite a lot. Over to her right, a young couple, a very young couple was fussing over their own stuffed animals and a bittersweet taste came to Rhy's mouth. Yes, yes. She definiatly wished they had this place when she was younger. Not staring, knowing it wasn't polite, Rhy continued her observation of the shop, stepping aside so other kids could filter through and start the process all over again. It was loud, and filled, yet Rhy didn't mind at all. It was almost a, comforting noise, and the mass of bodies almost seemed to banish her fears instead of ressuracting them. Glancing about once more, she stepped inside further.
Deciding she couldn't resist, Rhy started down the row of the stuffed animals. All were priced differently, concerning how detailed they were or not. Feeling the brand new wad of cash from certain dealings in her pocket, she decided to get whatever one caught her fancy. Oh, and did one do just that. " Oh! No way! You look just like Bruno! " She gushed over the intamite object. She couldn't help it. It was a Pit, after all. And held the same coloring as her beloved companion. Grabbing the limp, unfilled dog, she hugged it close to her chest. Many would have ran for their lives, for their repuation directly out of the store if they had been Rhy. But no, she was having to much fun. Of course, if she weren't alone, it would be even more fun. Rhy took another moment to glance around before she would fill her new found friend. If only she knew somebody...
